I moved back to Santa Barbara from Paris in 1992. Kurt owned Sound Advice, the coolest music store around and was in a band called Ghoul Brynner, the coolest band around.

As the decade wore on, I met Marjorie who had her own super fun bands, modern day girls groups with awesome names like the Man Eaters and the Chicklettes.

At some point in the late 90’s, Kurt & Marjorie formed a band called Extract…oh, and fell in love.
and then they got engaged and we went back up to Lizard’s Mouth about a month before their wedding to capture their love on film (yes, film).

They got married at an old Stage Coach stop and sang “Let It Be Me” by the Everly Brothers as their vows. Best ceremony ever.

I am happy to report that this beautiful couple, married 15 years ago, are still happily married with FIVE gorgeous amazing kids who all do BALLET. Now living in Washington State, I get to follow their lives through the miracle of Instagram and FB. They are obviously still making beautiful music together, and that is why I am celebrating their love this Valentine’s Day.
Cheers Kurt and Marjorie, Love Ya!!!
Jori - Jill, this is such a lovely tribute to your friends, and also to your skill as a photographer!
